The Wild is looking to bounce back this weekend in a three-game series against the Cape Cod Islanders Friday and Saturday and the East Coast Minutement on Sunday.
The Wild fell twice to undefeated Jersey Shore Wildcats last weekend, but Head Coach Mike Tenney was happy with team's effort, especially when the Wild fell behind 3-0 but crawled back to a 4-4 tie.
"I'm always optistimic, but I felt good last weekend when we got back to 4-4 against the best team in the league," he said. "We are capable of getting points this weekend it's a matter of coming together for 60 minutes and everyone doing what they're usposed to do."
A focused effort, Tenney said, will be the difference between collecting more points or continuing to fall behind in league standings.
"I'm hoping everyone shows up and plays their best, and we have to start getting points out of the weekend. We need to make up ground to attempt to get home ice in the opening round of playoffs," he said.
Game times will be Friday at 7:10 p.m. at Cape Cod; Saturday at 5:30 p.m. in Biddeford; and Sunday at 4:30 p.m. at Salem Icenter.
