Wild Wins Three in a Row

With the race to the playoffs in full swing, Maine Wild Head Coach Mike Tenney has been harping on one point with the team: figure out how to play well without the puck.

The team certainly did that this weekend when they captured a 2-1 win Friday and a 5-4 (SO) win on Saturday against the Cape Cod Islanders, and an 8-4 win Sunday against the East Coast Minutemen.

"Friday was interesting because I thought we were the better team in the first, but we didn't score. Their goalie played well," said Tenney. But Cape Cod would find the back of the net first in the game. "In the second period, we were flat and then in the middle of the second we got a spark from a very unexpected place."
