Wild Looks to Bounce Back against Fighting Spirit

The Maine Wild will seek to bring their A game on Wednesday as they get ready to face the Fighting Spirit in the first round of the NA3EHL playoffs.

The Wild fell twice to the Fighting Spirit last weekend, 7-2 on Saturday and 4-3 (in a shootout) on Sunday.

"On Saturday, the first period was fine and we played well, it was 1-0, after that the wheels started to fall off," said Head Coach Mike Tenney. "We got into penalty trouble and mentally we couldn't keep it together for the last 40 minutes."

Sunday was a much different game, Tenney said, in which his team wanted to send a message: they won't go down without a fight.

"It was something about getting blown out the day beforebut knowing we have to play them in the playoffs, we wanted a good effort to let them know they're not going to roll over in the first round of the playoffs," said Tenney.
