East Coast outlasts Maine, 4-2

The game between East Coast and Maine was tight through all 60 minutes, but in the end East Coast emerged with a 4-2 win.

Each team kept the other at bay throughout the game, and Tom Potter secured the win for East Coast with a goal in the second period.

Potter was all over the ice for East Coast, as he finished with two goals in the win.

Maine\’s power play was ineffective against East Coast\’s penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded.

East Coast excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in six chances. East Coast forced Maine goalie Brandon Daigle to work between the pipes, taking 39 shots.

East Coast also got points from Matt Bauchman, who also grabbed one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Rick Mulligan also scored for East Coast. In addition, East Coast received assists from Matt Moreschi, who had two and Mason Smith and Tristan Archambault, who contributed one each.

Maine\’s penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three East Coast power plays.

Maine was helped by Greg Terlov, who racked up one goal. Terlov scored 16:06 into the first period to make the score 2-2. Jordy Knoren assisted on the tally. Maine also got a goal from Matt Jerome as well. More assists for Maine came via Travis Townsend, Sedrick Simons, and Shayne Plummer, who each chipped in one.

East Coast\’s Aidan Critchlow stopped 19 shots out of the 21 that he faced. East Coast incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Daigle rejected 35 shots on goal for Maine. Maine incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
