Wild come up short to the New England Stars

The Wild only had 1 game on their schedule this weekend. Saturday, January 14th, the Wild would host the New England Stars at 7:30 PM.

Maine would get the scoring going with Derek Erbe notching the sole goal in the 1st period coming 17:42 in, with assists going to Connor Busch and Zach Gagne. The Stars would respond with 2 goals in the 2nd. New England would skate to 2 more goals in the 3rd giving Maine the 4-1 loss. Brandon Dangle turned away 25 of 29 shots faced.

“As far as our game vs. Stars this past weekend, outside of our penalty kill and goaltending, the Stars came to play and we did not. The consistency we played with before the break has left us. The Stars wanted the game more than us. It’s back to the drawing board and back to basics. We have a big weekend coming up. We need to play more as a team with a sense of urgency.” -Head Coach Jack Lowry

The Wild return to action next weekend where they host the East Coast Minutemen at 7:30 PM on Saturday, January 21 and then host the L/A Fighting Spirit at 11:00 AM on Sunday, January 22. All Wild games can be watched live on Hockey TV.
