Kervinen answered for the Islanders with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 17:39 with assists from his linemates, St. Amand and Doyon. Conway quickly followed with a goal at 18:26 with helpers from his linemates, Therrien and Constable.
In the third, Therrien scored a goal at 4:09 with an assist from Conway.
