In the second period, Kervinen opened the scoring for Cape Cod with a goal at 3:18 with helpers from his teammates Little and St. Amand. St. Amand put in a goal at 16:02 with helpers from Dougherty and Kervinen.
During the third, Bannon finally put Maine on the board with a goal at 1:29 with assists from his linemates, Gratz and Webb. St. Amand answered for the Islanders with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 3:41 with an assist from Constable. Dorman answered for the Wild with a goal at 19:54 with helpers from his linemates, Decarolis and Mehall.
