Brady Bannon did his part, adding 2 goals and Josef Mehall chipped in with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).
In the first, Webb opened the scoring for the Wild with a goal at 5:10 with helpers from his linemates, Shestakov and Gratz.
During the second, Mehall put in what turned out to be the game winning goal at 1:07 with assists from teammates Wilson and Webb. Toal finally put the Generals on the board with a goal at 3:54 with helpers from Hammel and Faia. Bannon answered for the Wild with a goal at 18:00 with assists from his linemates, Webb and Ledbetter. Bannon quickly followed with a goal at 19:44 with helpers from his linemates, Webb and Mehall.
Maine’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Santarosa’s big night as he stopped 32 of the 33 shots he faced. Santarosa’s counterpart, Wagner, also had a big night, managing to stop 26 of 30, but ultimately fell short.
This win brings the Maine Wild’s record to (19-20-4-2).
